Rajawat demonstrated impressive resilience, rallying after losing the first game 17-21. He secured the next two games 21-16 and 21-14, winning the match in an exhausting 70-minute battle.
Similarly, Tanya Hemanth emerged victorious in a three-game duel against Canada’s Jackie Dent. After a tightly contested match, Hemanth clinched victory with scores of 21-13, 20-22, 21-14 in 54 minutes.
In the women’s singles, Anupama Upadhyaya advanced with a straightforward win, defeating Ireland’s Rachael Darragh 21-11, 21-11.
