Shocking Incursion: Chinese Troops Infiltrate Indian Territory in Dibang Valley, Arunachal
During a routine patrol along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Dibang Valley, the Indian Army encountered personnel from China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) within Indian territory on July 4.
Visuals from the incident show an Indian Army officer addressing a PLA officer, asserting that the area was Indian territory and instructing the Chinese troops to return to their side.
Earlier this year, India reaffirmed its stance on Arunachal Pradesh amid China’s repeated territorial claims. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh “was, is, and will always remain” an integral part of India. The remarks followed China’s assertion that the state was inherently part of its territory, a statement coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the region.
“Our position on Arunachal Pradesh has been consistently clear,” Jaiswal stated during a recent press briefing. “China may reiterate its baseless claims as often as it likes, but this will not alter India’s stance. Arunachal Pradesh is and will always be an inalienable part of our country.”
The latest incident underscores ongoing tensions between India and China along the LAC, with both nations frequently expressing conflicting territorial claims. Despite diplomatic efforts, these disputes remain a significant point of contention in bilateral relations.
