Empowering Mizoram’s Future: Governor and MYC Chairman Unite to Unlock Exciting Job Opportunities for Mizo Youth
Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati convened with Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC) Chairman Pu Malsawmzuala Ralte at the Raj Bhavan during the morning hours to deliberate on the commission’s ongoing initiatives. The Governor underscored the critical need to secure more extensive employment opportunities for Mizo youth across India, emphasizing that access to higher education and skill development is crucial for youth, especially those from remote areas. He advocated for a robust and organized database of qualified Mizo youth seeking employment to streamline efforts in equipping them for prospective job opportunities. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of expanding young people’s perspectives beyond their immediate surroundings.
In the discussion, the Governor also encouraged MYC to enhance the visibility and reach of its programs, ensuring that a broader array of youth can benefit. He expressed his unwavering support for MYC’s endeavors to assist young people in achieving their career aspirations.
Chairman Pu Malsawmzuala Ralte updated the Governor on the commission’s initiatives for the fiscal year 2024-2025. He reported that 43 youths had secured employment with the help of MYC initiatives, expressing gratitude for the Governor’s support in identifying job opportunities outside the state. Notably, he praised the Governor’s assistance, which resulted in eight Mizo youths obtaining jobs at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
The meeting was also attended by MYC Secretary Pi V. Lalmuanpuii.
Governor Kambhampati’s meeting with MYC officials marked a pivotal step in amplifying concerted efforts to broaden employment possibilities for Mizoram’s youth, crucially aligning with aspirations to enhance both skill development and employment prospects across diverse regions.
