Breaking News: RPF of NFR Triumphantly Rescues 23 Bangladeshi Nationals in a Month – A Heartwarming Tale of Safety and Justice!
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has apprehended 23 Bangladeshi nationals at Agartala, Jirania, and Dharmanagar railway stations in Tripura during multiple operations throughout November 2024. These actions were reported in a press release by Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of NFR, on Sunday, December 8.
The RPF, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF), conducted a routine check at Dharmanagar railway station on November 21, identifying four individuals with suspicious behavior. Upon interrogation, these individuals were unable to provide valid documentation and confessed to being Bangladeshi citizens who entered India illegally. Consequently, they were apprehended and handed over to BSF’s 97 battalion for further legal proceedings.
During the same period, the RPF also rescued 56 minors and four women from various railway stations within the NFR jurisdiction, emphasizing their commitment to combating illegal activities and protecting vulnerable individuals. The RPF maintains a vigilant stance against illegal infiltration from border areas, conducting regular inspections at railway stations and on trains to prevent such occurrences.
Moreover, the force is dedicated to safeguarding railway passengers and remains alert to potential human trafficking, closely monitoring the movement of children traveling alone or without guardians. Through these efforts, the RPF continues its relentless pursuit of justice, ensuring the safety and security of passengers across the railway network.
