His support for Israel’s Gaza campaign also alienated young, progressive Democrats and voters of color.
Biden’s departure reshapes the Democratic race, with delegates pledged to him potentially entering the convention uncommitted, adding uncertainty to the nomination process ahead of the 2024 election.
