Set in the fictional village of Aanakkolli, we are introduced to the quintessential gangster trope-the fearsome Maari, portrayed with lackluster flair by Sunil. Here’s a man so absorbed in his own grandiosity that he forgets to inject any real menace into his role. The plot orbits around elephant tusk smuggling, an audacious backdrop that could have shone if handled right.
