Majestic Ayodhya Ram Mandir Tableau to Captivate Hearts at FIA’s Grand India Day in the US
The upcoming India Day parade in Manhattan will prominently feature a tableau of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir to commemorate Indian Independence Day. Organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) of NY-NJ-CT-NE, the 42nd Annual India Day Parade is set for August 18. The parade, passing through New York City’s Madison Avenue, will honor Indian traditions and cultural heritage. Actor Pankaj Tripathi will serve as the Guest of Honour at the event, which attracts thousands from the Indian diaspora.
During a curtain-raiser at the Consulate General of India in New York, officials revealed that this year’s parade theme is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.’ Consul General Binaya Pradhan emphasized the importance of the parade and assured full support from the consulate. An 18-foot long, 9-foot wide, and 8-foot tall replica of the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be the centerpiece.
FIA President Dr. Avinash Gupta and Chairman Ankur Vaidya highlighted the event’s significance in showcasing India’s culture to a broader audience. Representatives from the Vishva Hindu Parishad of America, Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha, and Siddhivinayak Temple unveiled the float at the consulate, illustrating its cultural importance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya earlier this year, marking a historic moment reflected in the parade. The event will blend Indian patriotic fervor with captivating cultural displays, uniting community members and enhancing India’s cultural visibility in New York and the tri-state area.
