On Monday, Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika took to X to clarify that the circulating news is “fake and baseless,” urging people not to spread misinformation. Hazarika stated, “The Assam Government has not issued any SoP regarding visiting Zubeen Da’s cremation site.”
This clarification followed the emergence of several unverified posts online that suggested the government had set specific guidelines for visitors at Zubeen Garg’s resting place. The rumors quickly gained traction, leading to confusion among fans and the general public.
Officials from the state’s Information and Public Relations Department also confirmed that no official communication concerning visitation guidelines had been released. They urged the public to verify information with authentic sources before sharing it.
