Dyson Introduces OnTrac: Premium Wireless Headphones with Advanced Tech and Customization
Dyson, renowned for its premium home appliances and audio gadgets, has launched OnTrac, a feature-packed wireless headphone that offers extensive customizability. The OnTrac headphones are designed with customizable earcups and cushions to fit user preferences.
Key to its performance, Dyson employs a bespoke Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) algorithm. This system uses eight microphones and samples external sounds 384,000 times per second, effectively reducing noise by up to 40dB. The headphones are powered by 40mm, 16-ohm neodymium speaker drivers and advanced signal processing, ensuring clarity in every note and word.
Dyson claims the OnTrac can reproduce frequencies from 6Hz to 21,000Hz, offering deep sub-bass and clear highs for an immersive audio experience. The headphones incorporate two high-capacity lithium-ion battery cells in the headband, providing up to 55 hours of playtime with ANC enabled. Users can activate or deactivate ANC by double-tapping either earcup.
For personalization, OnTrac comes in four colorways inspired by CNC manufacturing, including CNC Aluminium, Copper, Nickel, and Ceramic Cinnabar finishes. Users can also choose various earcup and cushion finishes, with outer caps made of high-grade aluminum.
Connectivity is facilitated through the MyDyson app, which offers features like real-time soundtracking to monitor both in-ear and external volumes. Users can select from Bass Boost, Neutral, and Enhanced EQ modes.
While Dyson has not provided a specific launch date, the OnTrac headphones are expected to be available in India soon.
