Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra: Tripura Minister Reviews Oct 7 Preparations
Tripura will hold the “Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra” and “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” in all eight districts on October 7 as part of the ongoing “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan”, a nationwide campaign marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service.
Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury reviewed preparations for the events at an organisational meeting at the state BJP headquarters on Friday. He said the programmes, also being held across India, would strengthen the commitment to public service and spread the message of “seva”, or service, among different sections of society.
Chowdhury urged organisers to maintain proper coordination so that the events proceed smoothly and in an organised manner. Processions centred on the Seva Jyoti, along with cycle and motorcycle rallies, will be held as part of the Kalash Yatra in Tripura.
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was launched by the BJP on September 17 and will continue until October 17. October 7 marks 25 years since Modi first took office as chief minister of Gujarat in 2001.
The programmes in Tripura are scheduled to conclude before 11 am on October 7, after which Modi’s address will be broadcast live.
