BJYM’s ‘Yuva Soch, Naya Arunachal’ in Tawang: Empower Youth Now
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) held a programme titled “Yuva Soch, Naya Arunachal – A Path Towards Viksit Arunachal” at Kalawangpo Convention Hall in Tawang on February 14, bringing together party leaders and youth to discuss ways to strengthen youth participation in the state’s development. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Sports Minister Kento Jini attended the event, which aimed to foster innovative thinking and collective action toward a developed (Viksit) Arunachal Pradesh.
The gathering included Tapuk Taku, chairman of APMDTCL; State BJYM president Tame Siyang Tarh; General Secretary Natung Tajo; BJYM General Secretary Tenzing Shongla; along with party office-bearers, district presidents and enthusiastic young people from across the district. Organisers said the programme was designed to engage youth across communities and encourage active local involvement in governance and nation-building initiatives.
Addressing the audience, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said the programme’s purpose was “to strengthen and mould the youth,” underlining the administration’s focus on empowering younger generations as drivers of social and economic progress. Speakers highlighted the need for skill development, innovative mindsets and greater civic participation to shape a self-reliant Arunachal Pradesh.
Leaders at the event stressed that a united, collective approach is essential to realise the vision of a Viksit Arunachal, calling on youth to contribute ideas and take part in initiatives that support regional growth. The programme emphasised collaboration between government, party organisations and local communities as a path to sustainable development.
By centring young people in discussions about development and governance, BJYM and state leaders signalled a push to translate youth engagement into tangible contributions to the state’s progress, reinforcing the message that sustained, organised participation will be crucial to achieving long-term development goals.
