A late-night accident in the Zoo Road area of Guwahati resulted in injuries for Bollywood actor Ashish Vidyarthi and his wife, Rupali Baruah, on Friday. The collision occurred around midnight outside The Guwahati Address Hotel, under the jurisdiction of the Geetanagar Police Station. Reports indicate that a speeding Avenger motorcycle, with the registration number AS-01-DY-5061, struck the couple while they were crossing the street.
Witnesses claim that the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed from the Chandmari direction when it hit Vidyarthi and Baruah, leaving all three individuals injured. The police arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and transported the injured motorcyclist to Gauhati Medical College Hospital for treatment, alongside Vidyarthi and Baruah.
Sources revealed that the couple had left The Guwahati Address restaurant near Zoo Tiniali and were crossing the road when the mishap occurred. In the aftermath, Vidyarthi released a video update to reassure his fans and well-wishers about their condition.
“We were crossing the street yesterday when a bike hit us. We are both fine. Rupali is under observation, but everything is okay. I am absolutely fine and only sustained a minor injury, so there’s nothing to worry about. I just wanted to let everyone know that this incident happened, but we are good. There’s nothing to sensationalize. I’ve also heard that the biker has regained consciousness, and I hope he is well,” he stated.
Vidyarthi expressed gratitude for the care provided by the emergency staff and acknowledged the concern and good wishes from his followers. In addition to his lengthy acting career, he has recently gained fame as a food and travel vlogger, regularly sharing his adventure videos on YouTube, where he has amassed approximately 2.4 million subscribers.
