Anbumani Ramadoss Calls on Women to Empower Themselves by Shunning DMK: A Bold Urgent Plea for Change

PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss took to the streets of Krishnagiri on Monday as part of his “Rights-retrieval walk,” urging women to distance themselves from the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party in a bid to safeguard their children’s futures. Addressing a public meeting, he emphasized that alcohol and drugs are jeopardizing the prospects of the next generation, calling on attendees to critically evaluate which parties should be kept out of power come the 2026 elections.

Ramadoss criticized the DMK government, labeling it as akin to “Company rule,” and accused Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of prioritizing business interests over the needs of the poor. He stated, “The government has turned its back on those in need, favoring the affluent instead.” His remarks were part of a larger criticism of what he described as the government’s negligence regarding vital projects, specifically pointing to a check dam under the Enekolputhur-Thumbalahalli irrigation scheme.

During his visit to the check dam site, Anbumani lambasted the DMK for the sluggish progress of the irrigation works, warning that he would consider a blockade of national highways connecting Hosur to Bengaluru and Salem and Chennai if improvements were not made urgently. Echoing concerns from the local community, he questioned the government’s land acquisition policies for businesses that fail to generate employment for educated youth in the region.

“Mr. Stalin promised legislation for 75% local job allocation before the elections-what happened to that promise?” he asked, singling out Delta Electronics near Enekolputhur, noting that many local graduates remain unemployed while companies acquire farmland. He emphasized the contradiction of bringing in businesses that do not offer jobs to the local population, further underlining the dire need for accountability from the ruling party.

Ramadoss concluded his address by asserting that the days of the DMK are numbered, urging women to stand against the party to protect their families’ futures. His comments resonated with many residents who seek change and more substantial local governance.

As the political landscape shifts in Tamil Nadu, Ramadoss’s remarks reflect growing sentiments among the electorate, particularly with the upcoming 2026 elections on the horizon. His call to action highlights a broader concern about the priorities of state leadership and its impact on everyday citizens.

This rallying cry not only aims to mobilize grassroots support but also signals the PMK’s positioning as a contender in the evolving political narrative of the region. With increasing scrutiny on government accountability and promises made to local constituents, the stakes are high as voters prepare to make crucial decisions in the upcoming electoral cycle.
