West Tripura BJP Mandal President Expelled: Shocking Video Controversy Revealed
Agartala, August 17: The BJP state committee has expelled Manna Dey, a local leader from the Khayerpur Assembly constituency in West Tripura, for allegedly sharing “personal videos” on social media, the party announced on Sunday.
Recently, several video and audio clips containing intimate conversations among party leaders, including Dey, went viral. Dey is said to have circulated multiple clips on various social media platforms.
In the expulsion letter penned by state BJP general secretary Amit Rakshit, the party expressed disapproval of Dey’s actions, stating, “It has come to the notice of the party that you have started sharing personal videos on social media. Such activities are against the party’s discipline and are unacceptable.” The letter underscored that these actions have harmed the party’s reputation.
The letter further noted, “Despite repeated warnings regarding your behavior, you continue to violate party discipline. Therefore, you have been expelled from the party with immediate effect, following a directive from party state president Rajib Bhattacharjee.”
Dey was also informed that he has been relieved from all party positions. Although the expulsion notice was formally issued on May 24, it was only made public on the party’s official Facebook page this Sunday.
