Applications are now open for the recruitment of teaching positions at Northeast Frontier Railway in Assam. Qualified candidates are invited to apply for the roles of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) at Railway HS School Maligaon and Netaji Vidyapith Railway HS School Maligaon.
For the Post Graduate Teacher role, there are two vacancies: one for Geography and one for Physical Education. Candidates applying for the PGT in Geography must possess either a two-year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course from a Regional College of Education under NCERT or a Master’s degree in Geography from a recognized university, achieving at least 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, a B.Ed. or an equivalent degree is necessary, along with proficiency in English medium instruction and desirable knowledge of computer applications. For the PGT in Physical Education, candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.), or a relevant Bachelor’s in Health and Physical Education with at least 55% marks, meeting the National Council for Teacher Education regulations.
As for the Trained Graduate Teacher positions, two openings are also available. Applicants for the TGT roles must have a graduation degree in the respective teaching subject along with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or alternatively, at least 50% in either their graduation or post-graduation combined with a B.Ed. Candidates can also qualify through various educational combinations outlined by the National Council for Teacher Education, including specific requirements for fine arts education.
The monthly salary for the TGT position is ₹26,250, while for the PGT role, it is ₹27,500. The selection process will consist of a walk-in interview scheduled for August 1, 2025, starting at 9:30 AM at the office of the General Manager (P) at N.F. Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati-11.
