Empower Your Strength: CM’s Call to BJP Karyakartas for Victory
Agartala, June 24, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the importance of strengthening party booths and fostering positive relationships with the public during a speech at the Parichay Parv for newly-elected committees in the 8 Town Baradowali Mandal at Rabindra Bhavan Shatabarshiki Bhawan today. He stated that a leader’s or party’s acceptance among the people hinges on their humility and approachability, arguing that without these qualities, acceptance is unlikely.
Dr. Saha encouraged party workers, or karyakartas, to focus on building strong connections within their communities. He criticized past governance by the CPIM and Congress, asserting that the BJP’s current dominance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is rooted in effective governance and understanding the needs of the populace. “We must work to win the hearts of the people and recognize that everyone is part of our community,” he remarked.
He also referenced specific incidents during the Congress regime, stating that issues like attacks on Parliament went unaddressed, contrasting it with Modi’s proactive governance. “PM Modi operates with integrity; he doesn’t just make promises but follows through. His initiatives, such as Operation Sindoor, exemplify our commitment to the people,” Dr. Saha said. He underscored the significance of respecting women and mothers, noting that law and order in Tripura has considerably improved.
Additionally, Dr. Saha highlighted Tripura’s achievement of full literacy and the need for ongoing state development. He pointed out that Tripura’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) ranks second in the Northeast after Assam, with per capita income increasing, trailing only Sikkim. He reiterated that humility and groundedness must define leadership to garner public support.
