Tura: The Selsella Damalgre 33 kV to 11 kV Control Room (sub-station) has been completed, marking a significant milestone for the local community. This project, initiated by the Selsella Distribution Sub-Division, was overseen by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, who inaugurated the facility on February 21, 2019. It aims to enhance power distribution in Selsella, catering to various local institutions including government offices, schools, and health centers.
According to the All Selsella NGOs Alliance (ASNA), the control room is crucial for managing electrical flow and improving the reliability of power supply to the area. This enhancement will reduce voltage fluctuations and ensure steadier electricity access for residential and institutional needs. The added functionality promises a more stable and efficient distribution of electricity, which is expected to benefit the entire Selsella region.
