Unlocking Convenience: CM Champions Mini Secretariats for Seamless Access to All Departments!
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken decisive steps to enhance administrative efficiency and citizen engagement within the capital. In a meeting on Monday with district development committee chairpersons and District Magistrates (DMs), Gupta directed the formulation of proposals for establishing mini secretariats. These mini hubs aim to centralize services from various departments, allowing residents easier access to government resources in one location.
To further promote transparency and accountability, Gupta announced the installation of ‘complaint and suggestion’ boxes in the offices of District Magistrates, Sub-District Magistrates, and Sub Registrars. These boxes will be under the direct oversight of the Chief Minister’s Office, ensuring that public feedback is monitored and addressed effectively.
“The objective is to build an administrative system that is transparent, accountable, and citizen-friendly,” Gupta stated during the meeting. Newly appointed chairpersons contributed their insights, leading to a comprehensive discussion on future development initiatives tailored to meet the community’s needs.
In a related context, Gupta responded to recent controversies surrounding her administration, particularly regarding claims that slum settlements might face demolition. “Some individuals are shocked that despite not reaching the 100-day mark, our government is continuously making progress. Lists circulating on social media alleging that slum colonies will be demolished are conspiratorial and unfounded. I assure you that no slum colony will be demolished,” Gupta clarified.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to social welfare, Gupta highlighted a budget allocation of ₹700 crores aimed at improving conditions in slum areas. “We are dedicated to providing necessary infrastructure such as drains, toilets, and parks for children,” she added.
By initiating these measures, the Delhi government aims to foster a more citizen-centric administration while ensuring that development is inclusive and responsive to the needs of its residents. This approach not only seeks to streamline service delivery but also to enhance the overall quality of life for all citizens, particularly those in marginalized communities.
As Delhi moves forward under Gupta’s leadership, the emphasis remains on building trust and collaboration between the government and the public, marking a significant step toward more effective governance in the capital.
