Empowering Innovation: UST and Telangana’s T-Works Join Forces for Groundbreaking Digital Transformation

Digital transformation solutions provider UST has formalized a partnership with the Telangana government’s hardware prototyping center, T-Works, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on May 20, 2025. This collaboration positions UST as the primary systems integrator, delivering comprehensive solutions to enhance product innovation for startups within the T-Works ecosystem.

The MoU aims to accelerate advancements in key areas such as automotive AI platforms, semiconductor automatic test equipment (ATE) frameworks, and the integration of smart factories. UST plans to deploy its resources at T-Works, enabling hands-on experience throughout various stages of product development. This initiative also includes the joint development and commercialization of new intellectual property, notably 5G-enabled industrial IoT modules, alongside an Industry 4.0 incubation program fueled by UST for automotive suppliers.

By merging UST’s IoT-driven digital prototyping capabilities with T-Works’ physical manufacturing resources, the partnership expects to achieve up to 45% faster hardware-to-digital integration for clients in the automotive, semiconductor, and manufacturing sectors. This innovative approach not only enhances product development but also introduces shared-risk innovation models and joint intellectual property ownership, potentially lowering research and development costs by up to 40%. This makes advanced prototyping and digital solutions more accessible to startups, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and large corporations.

Furthermore, UST’s customers are set to gain a significant competitive edge, benefiting from priority access to AI-optimized CNC workflows, early prototypes of GaN power devices, and subsidized usage of UST’s semiconductor design libraries. “Our partnership with T-Works will drive faster and more cost-effective product development, empowering startups and enterprises to transform groundbreaking ideas into market-ready solutions,” stated UST’s COO Alexander Varghese at the signing ceremony held at the company’s Thiruvananthapuram campus.

T-Works CEO Joginder Tanikella emphasized that startups within the T-Works ecosystem will gain direct access to UST’s extensive global customer base, significantly enhancing their market reach and potential for growth. This collaboration is poised to not only foster innovation but also to invigorate the local startup landscape, positioning T-Works as a critical player in advancing technological solutions in various industries.

As this partnership unfolds, it promises to be a catalyst for economic growth and technological advancement in the region, paving the way for a new wave of innovation driven by the synergy between UST’s expertise and T-Works’ resources.

The collaboration is expected to yield tangible benefits for the manufacturing and engineering sectors, ultimately reshaping the landscape of product development in these domains. UST and T-Works are committed to fostering an environment ripe with opportunity, embodying their shared vision for a future where startups can thrive and innovate with unprecedented speed and efficacy.
