Devotees Gather at Triveni Sangam for Spiritual Awakening During Saraswati Pushkaralu
Chanting the sacred hymn “Kaleeshwara Nivasova, Kaleshwara Nirikshanam, Kaleshwarasya Samaranam Sarvapaapa Vinasanam,” lakhs of devotees gathered at the banks of Triveni Sangam on the sixth day of Saraswati Pushkaralu to take a holy dip. The atmosphere was charged with spirituality as pilgrims from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Karnataka came together to offer prayers and partake in the Pushkara rituals.
The Triveni Sangam experienced a significant increase in devotees, who immersed themselves in the inner Saraswati river and offered sacred water in reverence. Each of the first twelve days of Pushkaralu holds a distinct spiritual significance, and on the sixth day, it is believed that offerings of medicines, camphor, sandalwood, and musk can bestow special merit upon devotees.
Taking this belief to heart, many participated in traditional rituals and made donations, echoing the timeless message of coexisting harmoniously with nature, a fundamental tenet of Sanatana Dharma. With the massive turnout, the district administration, led by District Collector Rahul Sharma, implemented comprehensive safety measures. Barricades were set up at the Pushkara Ghats, and rescue teams, including lifeguards, NDRF personnel, and Singareni rescue squads, were deployed to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.
The environment remains vibrant with devotion and spiritual enthusiasm as the Pushkaralu continues to attract worshippers seeking blessings and inner purity.
