BREAKING: Kaling Moyong Triumphantly Elected as Dynamic State BJP President!
ITANAGAR, 18 Jan: Kaling Moyong, former MLA from Pasighat East, has been unanimously elected as the new president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Arunachal Pradesh. Moyong succeeds Biyuram Waghe, who currently serves as the health minister. A native of Mirku village in Pasighat, East Siang district, Moyong began his political career in 2003 as an anchal samiti member and joined the BJP in 2012. He was first elected as an MLA from Pasighat East in 2014 and re-elected in 2019, later serving as a government spokesperson and adviser to the urban development and municipal administration minister.
Expressing his gratitude, Moyong thanked returning officer and union minister Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP Arunachal in-charge Ashok Singhal, state party president Biyuram Waghe, and state returning officer Tagin Siga. He acknowledged the larger responsibilities entrusted to him and committed to elevating the state BJP with the support of district presidents and grassroots party workers.
Sarbananda Sonowal announced the election of three senior party members—Tagin Siga, Yalem Taga Burang, and Kamrang Tesia—as BJP National Council members from Arunachal Pradesh. He praised the state’s rapid development under the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasized its significant progress in connectivity and communication. Sonowal commended Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s leadership, predicting that Arunachal would soon rank among India’s top 10 states. With the conclusion of the state BJP’s election process, Moyong’s leadership marks a new chapter for the party in Arunachal Pradesh.
