Two Myanmar nationals were apprehended in Mizoram’s Siaha district for allegedly trying to smuggle foreign currency valued at approximately 1.48 crore. This arrest was part of a collaborative operation between the Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police, following intelligence alerts about cross-border smuggling activities. In addition to the currency, authorities confiscated two mobile phones and a motorcycle from the suspects. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
