Shocking Discovery in Surat: Case Filed After Severed Cow Head Found – Unveiling the Disturbing Truth
A case was filed on Thursday following the discovery of a severed cow head in the upscale area of Pal in Surat. Initial police investigations revealed that the head was abandoned on the road by a stray dog, which picked it up from a nearby field. Pal Inspector K.L. Gadhe reported, “Through extensive footage review, we determined a stray dog retrieved the head from a nearby open ground. Several cattle sheds are located in the area, and investigations are ongoing.”
The gruesome find was first reported by a passerby who spotted the head on the main road near LP Sawani Road, close to the Rajhans Wings apartment, prompting local residents to alert the police. Upon arrival, officers assessed the situation and subsequently registered a First Information Report (FIR) against unknown individuals. The charges include offenses under sections 196 of the Indian Penal Code, relating to promoting enmity between different groups, and section 325, concerning mischief involving the harm or killing of animals. The case also invokes the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
The incident has troubled the community, causing concern over potential underlying issues related to religious or communal harmony and animal welfare. Police efforts are now focused on tracing the origin of the cow’s head and examining nearby cattle facilities as part of the investigation. Community members are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
