ISRO’s Groundbreaking ‘SpaDeX’ Mission: Revolutionizing Space Research with Unprecedented Discovery!
India Poised for Landmark Achievement with SpaDeX Mission
Guwahati: India is on the brink of a historic milestone in space exploration with the launch of its innovative Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) mission, poised to showcase satellite docking capabilities in orbit. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is primed to launch this pioneering mission on Monday at 10:15 PM from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
The mission will see the deployment of two 220 kg satellites, Chaser (SDX01) and Target (SDX02), using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). These satellites will attempt to dock at a 470 km altitude above Earth, addressing key technological challenges associated with rendezvous, docking, and undocking of small spacecraft in low Earth orbit.
Additionally, the PSLV’s fourth stage, known as POEM-4, will host 24 scientific experiments, maximizing the mission’s research output. This endeavor will position India as the fourth nation in the world to achieve advanced orbital docking technology, solidifying its standing in the global space exploration arena.
This mission underscores India’s commitment to advancing its space capabilities and significantly contributes to international efforts in orbital technology.
