Breaking: Manipur Police Triumphantly Capture KCP (PWG) Cadres in Kakching, Seize Key Assets
Manipur Police have arrested two members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (People’s War Group) [KCP (PWG)] during an operation in the Kakching Ching Kakpham area on December 16. The apprehended individuals have been identified as Lisham Premananda Meitei, also known as Poirei, aged 45, and James Ningthoujam, aged 44. Critical items recovered during the operation included three mobile phones and a four-wheeler vehicle.
These arrests are part of an intensified crackdown in the region, instigated by the recent tragic killing of two non-locals in Keirak on December 14. The police have ramped up efforts to counteract local insurgency activities and enhance community safety following these alarming incidents.
In a related development on the same day, law enforcement officers captured another active member of the KCP (PWG), Irengbam Rameshwar Singh, aged 48, from the Kakching Lamkhai area. This arrest was carried out under the jurisdiction of the Kakching Police Station.
