TDP MPs Demand Urgent Spotlight in Parliament: Crucial Dialogues on Andhra Pradesh’s Future
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs have urged the Parliament to address unresolved issues from the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014, during the upcoming winter session. At an all-party meeting in New Delhi, TDP Parliamentary Party leader Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu highlighted the need for discussions on several key matters, including the proposed Godavari-Penna river linkage, the progress of the Polavaram multipurpose project, and the establishment of a petroleum refinery in Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, the MPs requested deliberations on constructing the Kadapa Steel Plant and advocated for stringent measures to combat the proliferation of abusive social media messages, suggesting that special legislation might be necessary. They also emphasized the importance of devising strategies to handle flood situations like the recent catastrophe in Vijayawada.
