Manipur Police successfully rescued Ngaoboi Singson, a 42-year-old woman suspected to be from the Kuki community, on September 13 from Jiribam Bazar near Lamkhai Bazar. Following the rescue operation, she was immediately handed over to her family members. This incident underscores the ongoing tensions in the region and the proactive measures taken by law enforcement to maintain stability.
In an effort to ensure public safety and enforce law and order, security forces intensified their operations, focusing on the vulnerable areas of both hill and valley districts. These actions aimed to prevent any further incidents amidst the regional unrest.
As part of the efforts to facilitate the movement of essential goods, authorities successfully secured the passage of 253 vehicles along National Highway 37 (NH-37) and 157 vehicles along National Highway 2 (NH-2). Stringent security protocols, including security convoys, were enforced along sensitive stretches of these highways to enable free and safe travel.
