Three-Day Diwali Fair Set to Illuminate Udaipur from October 31
Agartala, 18th September 2024: Udaipur is gearing up for a spectacular three-day Diwali fair and festival from October 31 to November 2. This announcement came following a preparatory meeting held by the Diwali Mela and Utsav Committee at the Gomati District Administration Conference Hall.
Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, who chaired the meeting, emphasized the necessity of creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for students attending the event. He called for effective collaboration among all parties involved to ensure the festival’s success.
The Diwali fair will be a cultural extravaganza, featuring performances by local and out-of-state artists. Various departments will also host development stalls to showcase their initiatives. One of Udaipur’s key landmarks, the Mother’s temple, will be festively decorated, enhancing the celebratory spirit.
A state-of-the-art lighting system will be installed across the fairgrounds to add to the festive ambiance. To ensure smooth organization, a monitoring committee has been formed under the leadership of MLA Abhishek Debroy.
The preparation meeting saw attendance from notable figures including Gomati Zilla Parishad Chairman Deval Debroy, MLA Jitendra Majumder, Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Sheetal Chandra Majumder, District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, Gomati Superintendent of Police Ratiranjan Debnath, and representatives from various departments.
The event promises to be a grand celebration, reflecting both the cultural richness and community spirit of Udaipur.
