CM Sarma: Assam Sees Rapid Progress in Advantage Assam 2 Investments
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on May 17 said that projects announced at the Advantage Assam 2 investment summit are showing substantial progress, with nearly 60% already in advanced stages of implementation and several projects operational. Sharing the update on social platform X, Sarma said the summit had secured investment commitments worth over Rs 5 lakh crore and framed the development as a major step toward a “Viksit Assam.”
“From commitments to concrete progress. Advantage Assam 2 secured over Rs 5 lakh crore in investments. Today, nearly 60% of projects are already in advanced stages, with several already operational,” Sarma wrote on X, highlighting the transition from pledged funds to tangible project activity.
The Chief Minister said the state is steadily moving toward significant economic transformation through large-scale industrial and infrastructure initiatives. He presented the progress as evidence that the summit’s commitments are translating into on-the-ground work that could drive growth across Assam.
Sarma’s update underlines the Assam government’s focus on investment-led development and signals an ongoing push to convert summit announcements into completed projects and operational assets.
