The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 10 Board Session 1 Examination 2026 results, reporting an overall pass percentage of 93.70%. Of 24,83,479 students registered for the exam, 24,71,777 appeared and 23,16,008 have qualified. Students can check their CBSE Class 10 results 2026 on the official websites cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in, and via the UMANG app and DigiLocker using their login credentials.
Girls once again outperformed boys, with a pass rate of 94.99% compared with 92.60% for boys. The gender gap in pass percentages remains evident, favouring female candidates.
Compared with 2025, this year shows a marginal improvement. In 2025, 23,85,079 students had registered, 23,71,939 appeared and 22,21,636 passed, producing a pass percentage of 93.66%. The 2026 pass rate has risen by 0.04 percentage points, indicating a steady but limited upward trend in overall performance.
Among school categories, Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) topped the list with a 99.57% pass rate, followed closely by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) at 99.42%. Government schools recorded a pass percentage of 91.43%, government-aided schools 91.01%, while private schools registered 93.77%.
Students are advised to download and save their digital scorecards from the official portals or DigiLocker for future reference and to follow CBSE communications for details on re-evaluation, supplementary examinations or further steps.
