Swift Action: Minister Vows Timely Completion of Road Project to Transform Lives!
Industries Minister P. Rajeeve has assured the public that the development of the Aluva-Alangad road will progress swiftly and efficiently. His remarks came during a recent hearing related to the land acquisition process for this significant project. Out of the 57 landowners who received notices, 39 participated in the hearing, which underscores community engagement in this crucial initiative.
For those who could not attend, the Minister confirmed that new notices would be distributed, ensuring that all affected parties have the opportunity to voice their concerns and receive pertinent information. Anwar Sadat, the local MLA, was also present at the hearing, highlighting the involvement of elected officials in addressing the community’s needs.
The hearing also focused on the rehabilitation package aimed at assisting families who may be impacted by the road development, including potential loss of homes, businesses, and employment. This public session concluded successfully in Aluva, where Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition) S. Regina led discussions for 57 families affected in the regions of Aluva West and Kadangallur. Each family will receive support in line with the State government’s rehabilitation policy established in 2017, designed to mitigate the impact of such projects on local residents.
This proactive approach by the State government reflects an ongoing commitment to balance infrastructure development with community welfare, ensuring that those affected do not face undue hardship. As the Aluva-Alangad road project moves forward, the emphasis on transparency and support for displaced families will be crucial in fostering community trust and cooperation.
The minister’s firm promise of timely completion for the road project marks an important step toward improving regional connectivity and infrastructure in Kerala. As residents await further updates, the promise of fair compensation and rehabilitation for affected families underscores the government’s intent to prioritize its citizens during this transition.
