Joburg Super Kings secured a decisive victory over Durban Super Giants in the SA20 2025-26 match held at Kingsmead on Tuesday, winning by six wickets. This triumph marked the team’s second consecutive win of the season. Inspired by left-arm spinner Prenelan Subrayen’s exceptional bowling and Rilee Rossouw’s batting prowess, the Super Kings easily chased down a modest total set by the Super Giants.
Durban’s Super Giants, managed by Sanjiv Goenka, faltered to a mere 86 all out, allowing the Joburg Super Kings to achieve their target in just 12.2 overs. The victory not only awarded the Super Kings a vital bonus point but also propelled them into second place in the league, trailing only behind Kavya Maran’s Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
Captain Faf du Plessis’s strategic decision to have Prenelan Subrayen open the bowling paid dividends.
