In a separate incident the same morning, 73-year-old R. Sarawathi, who typically stays at her son’s house overnight, returned home only to find her door ajar and her almirah broken into. The thief or thieves made off with around four sovereigns of gold jewelry.
Responsive to these alarming developments, the SIPCOT police promptly arrived at both homes to gather information and conduct investigations. Forensic experts and a dog squad were deployed to examine the scene, looking for crucial evidence that could lead to apprehending the suspects.
