Exciting Milestone: Maharashtra Board HSC 2025 Exams Kick Off for Over 15 Lakh Students Under Section 144 Protection
The Maharashtra Board has commenced the 2025 Class 12 examinations for over 1.5 million students, including 8,10,348 boys, 6,94,652 girls, and 37 transgender students. To ensure a smooth and secure examination process, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has implemented stringent measures. Flying squads have been deployed, Section 144 has been imposed around exam centers, and efforts are being made to prevent cheating within the exam halls.
The district magistrate and the chairman of the district efficiency committee are responsible for facilitating the necessary arrangements. Additionally, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation has been requested to maintain regular and timely train services for the benefit of students.
At examination centers, the district administration has appointed personnel such as center directors and supervisors who are being verified through a facial recognition system. All exam-related personnel are provided with officially authorized identity cards.
The Board has taken further steps to ensure exam integrity, including maintaining uninterrupted power supply by coordinating with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company. To prevent admission issues noted during the pandemic, the Board has mandated that examination personnel vigilantly verify student identities. Xerox centers within 500 meters of exam centers will remain closed on exam days.
In an effort to curb potential irregularities, 271 Bharari Paths have been issued across the state. Surprise visits by district magistrates, chief executive officers, and Board members are encouraged to ensure compliance with regulations. Furthermore, sensitive exam center premises are monitored using drone cameras, and video recordings are conducted externally.
The Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act 1982, along with other legal frameworks, will be enforced to deter and address any instances of malpractice or interference during the examinations. The Board remains committed to upholding the integrity of these pivotal assessments.
