Kokrajhar, Jan. 3: A significant advancement in broadcasting services was marked with the virtual inauguration of a 10 KW FM transmitter at Akashvani Kokrajhar by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw from Guwahati. The new transmitter, built at a cost of Rs. 5.61 crore, promises enhanced connectivity for Kokrajhar residents and surrounding districts, including Bongaigaon, Dhubri, Chirang, and Goalpara.

In an associated event at Science College, Kokrajhar, the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief, Pramod Boro, celebrated the launch as a historical moment for the region.
