Shocking NIA Raids Across Four States: Unmasking the Hidden World of Arms Trafficking in Nagaland
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently conducted extensive raids across 17 locations in Bihar, Nagaland, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir. These raids are part of an ongoing probe into an inter-state arms trafficking case. Targeting the premises of 15 suspects linked to the case, the NIA carried out searches at 12 locations in Bihar, three in Nagaland, and one each in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir.
The individuals under investigation are associated with four previously arrested and charge-sheeted suspects in the arms trafficking network. The raids resulted in significant recoveries, including a .315 rifle, 11 live rounds, three empty cartridges, various digital devices such as mobile phones, memory cards, and pen drives, as well as raw materials and tools potentially used in firearm manufacturing. Additionally, a car and ₹13,94,840 in cash were seized, along with other incriminating documents.
This operation is part of the NIA’s intensified efforts to dismantle illegal arms manufacturing and trafficking networks spanning multiple states. The findings have revealed a complex web of individuals allegedly involved in the production and smuggling of firearms.
The seized items are anticipated to offer crucial insights as the investigation unfolds. Authorities are committed to curbing illegal arms trafficking, acknowledging it as a significant threat to national security. As the investigation progresses, efforts are ongoing to identify additional suspects and unravel the broader conspiracy behind these operations.
In summary, the NIA’s robust action underscores its dedication to eliminating inter-state arms trafficking networks, thereby bolstering national security. The agency’s commitment to this cause remains firm as further inquiries aim to uncover the full extent of the illicit activities and bring those responsible to justice.
