Empowerment Unleashed: Dhubri’s Outstanding Students Celebrate with Scooties and Bicycles in Emotional Anundoram Borooah Awards
The District Administration of Dhubri organized a ceremonial event on December 18 at the Raja Prabhat Chandra Barua Field, where 1,197 students were awarded Scooties, Bi-Cycles, and the esteemed Anundoram Borooah Award, honoring their academic achievements. The ceremony was headlined by Atul Bora, Assam’s Minister of Agriculture and Excise, among other roles, who served as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by key figures such as Dhubri District Commissioner Dibakar Nath, Dhubri Municipal Board Chairman Dr. Debamoy Sanyal, former MLA Ashwini Roy, BJP Dhubri District President Prasenjit Dutta, and Bimal Chand Oswal, Commissioner of the Assam State Commission for Right to Public Services.
The award distribution highlighted the educational accomplishments of 224 boys and 973 girls, with a significant focus on empowering female students in the region through the provision of scooters and bicycles. These mobility aids are intended to enhance students’ accessibility and encourage continued academic success. The Anundoram Borooah Award was presented to top-performing students, serving as an incentive for sustained excellence in academics.
During his address, Minister Atul Bora commended the students for their dedication and reaffirmed the government’s support for youth empowerment and education initiatives across Assam. The event wrapped up with gratitude expressed to all dignitaries, participants, and stakeholders for their collective efforts in making the ceremony a triumphant occasion.
