Tragic Incident: Brave Woman Constable Fatally Struck and Stabbed in Telangana’s Ibrahimpatnam
A woman constable, identified as 26-year-old Kongara Nagamani from the 2020 batch, was tragically murdered on the outskirts of Hyderabad in Ibrahimpatnam on the morning of December 2, 2024. Nagamani, who was stationed at the Hayathnagar police station, had a complex personal life involving two marriages—an arranged marriage initiated by her brother, Paramesh, and a subsequent love marriage without official divorce proceedings. This personal discord intensified within the family due to a dispute over ancestral land. Despite pressure from her brother to relinquish her claim because her marriage defied his wishes, Nagamani remained firm in her demand for her share of the property.
On Monday morning, around 8:40 a.m., as Nagamani was traveling to work on her scooter, she was violently attacked. A car reportedly struck her vehicle from behind in Raipole. The assailant then got out of the car and fatally stabbed Nagamani before fleeing the scene. Authorities suspect the involvement of her brother, Paramesh, and a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the full details surrounding this tragic event.
