Nagaland Lottery Sambad Overview – December 2, 2024
The Nagaland Lottery, a popular legal gambling option in India, operates under specific state regulations. Among the 13 states that allow lottery activities, Nagaland alongside Assam, Mizoram, Kerala, Meghalaya, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, West Bengal, and Sikkim has been participating since 1967. Established in 1972, the Nagaland State Lotteries aim to provide a stable financial source for the state’s government.
The Nagaland Lottery runs three daily draws—Dear Morning, Dear Day, and Dear Evening—every day of the week. Each ticket is priced at Rs 6, with top prizes reaching up to Rs 1 crore. These lotteries are managed by the Director of Nagaland State Lotteries and occur at P. R. Hill Junction in Kohima.
For winners, claiming the prize involves presenting a lottery claim form, the original, undamaged ticket, a government-approved photo ID, and passport-sized photographs. Tampered or damaged tickets are disqualified. Prizes up to ₹10,000 can be directly redeemed through authorized distributors. Claims exceeding Rs 10,000 must be submitted within 30 days of the draw to the Director, Government of Nagaland, or the Nodal Office. The process demands the submission of the prize-winning ticket, signed by the winner, and requisite documents to receive payments within 60 days.
Note: Lotteries can be addictive and should be played responsibly. This content serves informational purposes and is not an endorsement of lottery activities by ABP Live Digital.
