Minister for Mines and Geology, Kollu Ravindra, announced promising developments for Krishna district, highlighting the anticipated opening of the Machilipatnam port to the public by December 2025. Speaking at a workshop for young entrepreneurs on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at the ZP Convention Hall in Machilipatnam on November 9, the Minister emphasized the wealth of opportunities for establishing allied industries post-port inauguration, encouraging youth to seize these prospects. This event marked the inaugural workshop in a series aimed at supporting emerging entrepreneurs across the State.

Minister Ravindra also unveiled plans for major projects, including a new jewellery park and an industrial park in the region. He advised entrepreneurs to leverage substantial subsidies provided by the Central and State governments to bolster their businesses. APSRTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana Rao added that entrepreneurship could drive job creation, emphasizing the abundant opportunities for diligent individuals. The event also featured a visit to various stalls showcasing Kalamkari garments, Lepakshi artifacts, and women-led enterprises.
