BJP’s Unstoppable Triumph: Celebrating a Historic Hat-Trick in Haryana with Unmatched Victory!
In the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured an unprecedented third consecutive term, winning 48 seats and thwarting a potential Congress resurgence after ten years, as per the Election Commission’s data. The Congress managed to capture 37 seats, while Independents and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) claimed three and two seats respectively. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to the Haryana electorate for endorsing the BJP’s governance and policies with its largest-ever mandate in the state.
The outcome saw prominent losses, including BJP’s Gian Chand Gupta and Haryana Lokhit Party’s Gopal Kanda. Notably, Vinesh Phogat of the Congress won the Julana constituency. In a major setback for the Aam Aadmi Party, they failed to secure any seats.
Following the results, PM Modi criticized the Congress, alleging divisive politics and emphasizing BJP’s consistency in governance. The Congress raised doubts over the counting process, alleging delays and discrepancies in result updates.
BJP’s victory was celebrated with fireworks at their headquarters in Delhi, while former coalition ally Dushyant Chautala of the Jannayak Janta Party lost his seat at Uchana Kalan. Congress figures, such as Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Aditya Surjewala, retained key constituencies despite the party’s overall underperformance.
The stronghold of BJP in Haryana was attributed to the efforts of its workers and leadership under Nayab Singh Saini and JP Nadda. Meanwhile, Congress leaders expressed disappointment, with some suggesting internal strife and tactical errors.
Overall, the election signified a reinforcement of BJP’s political dominance in Haryana, amid claims of partisan struggle and electoral disputes from the Congress side.
