Despite the sun appearing by afternoon and hopes for resumption as the pitch seemed dry, the umpires deemed the outfield too wet for play. BCCI confirmed the decision on social media, stating, "Play for Day 3 in Kanpur has been called off due to wet outfield."
This announcement unleashed a wave of criticism towards BCCI. One user aired grievances about the poor facilities, stating, "Despite being the richest cricket board in the world, BCCI doesn’t leave any opportunity to defame our country’s name.
