Hathras, September 27 (IANS) – In a deeply disturbing incident, an 11-year-old boy named Kritarth Kushwaha was brutally murdered in what authorities have identified as a human ‘sacrifice’. The ghastly event occurred at DL Public School, situated in Rasgawan village under the jurisdiction of Sahapau police station in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.
Investigations reveal that Kritarth, a Class 2 student and resident of Tursen village, was killed as part of a tantric ritual allegedly intended to bring success and fame to the school. The gruesome act came to light when Kritarth’s body was found strangled and hidden inside a vehicle owned by the school management. He had been missing for several days, sparking panic and widespread outrage in the local community.
Following a complaint lodged by Kritarth’s father, Krishna Kumar, on September 23, the police launched an intensive investigation. The probe led to the arrest of five individuals: school manager Dinesh Baghel alias Bhagat, his father Jashodhan Singh, Ramprakash Solanki, Laxman Singh, and Veerpal Singh alias Veeru. The Superintendent of Police instructed a rapid response from the Sahapau police station, which soon apprehended the suspects.
CO Himanshu Mathur revealed that Jashodhan Singh, the father of the school manager, orchestrated this horrifying ritual. The local community has been left in shock and disbelief, raising serious concerns about the safety and sanctity of educational environments.
Local authorities assure that stringent legal action is underway against those involved. The tragedy serves as a grim reminder of the unsettling practices that still exist in some parts of the country, shaking the community to its core and demanding a thorough investigation to prevent future occurrences.
The Hathras tragedy underscores the importance of vigilance and the urgent need for reform in safeguarding vulnerable populations, particularly in trusted institutions like schools.
