Pixel 11 Pre-Orders Live — Huge Savings on Galaxy Z8 & S26
Google this week unveiled the Pixel 11 family — a standard Pixel 11, two Pro models and a new foldable — with pre-orders already open and full availability set for August 20. The launch brings one clear shift: Google now makes 256GB the baseline for all Pixel 11 models, but rising RAM costs have reshuffled memory tiers. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL now start at 12GB of RAM, and buyers must choose 512GB or 1TB variants to reach 16GB (the amount offered on last year’s Pixel 10 Pro models). The vanilla Pixel 11 is limited to 12GB, while the new foldable ships with 16GB as standard. Amazon is running a trade-in promotion during the pre-order window that includes an extra €100 when trading in an older Pixel for the Pixel 11 Pro XL or the Pixel 11 Pro Fold; other brands are still eligible for a compelling €400 bonus under the offer’s terms.
The base Pixel 11 runs Google’s Tensor G6 chipset, borrows the same core platform as its pricier siblings, and upgrades the main camera to a larger 48MP 1/1.56” sensor (up from the Pixel 10’s 1/2.0”). It keeps the 5x/112mm 10.8MP telephoto and 13MP ultra-wide, adds faster 25W Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging (up from 15W), and retains 30W wired charging and the same battery capacity. The vanilla model, however, omits the HiLight RGB LED found on Pro models.
The Pixel 11 Pro includes that HiLight RGB LED next to the rear cameras — a notification light that Google says also integrates with Gemini AI — and upgrades the display to a sharper 6.3” LTPO OLED (1280p+ vs. the vanilla 1080p+). Camera hardware remains broadly similar to last year but tuned: a 50MP 1/1.3” main sensor, a 48MP autofocus ultra-wide, and a new 48MP telephoto (1/1.95”, 5x/106mm) that replaces the previous 48MP 1/2.55”/113mm module.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL is essentially a larger Pro with a 6.8” 1334p+ LTPO screen and a 5,115mAh battery — 85mAh smaller than the 10 Pro XL’s cell. It supports 45W wired and 25W wireless charging; Google reports slightly faster wired charging performance, reaching up to 75% in 30 minutes versus 70% previously, which the outlet says it will test.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor (10.1mm folded, 5.0mm unfolded; 239g) but carries a smaller 4,806mAh battery. Wireless charging is boosted to 25W while wired remains at 30W. The foldable adopts the vanilla Pixel 11’s 48MP 1/1.56” main sensor in place of last year’s smaller module.
Wearables and accessories see incremental updates: the Pixel Watch 5 keeps the same chassis and Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 platform but doubles on-board storage to 64GB while keeping 2GB RAM, and Google highlights Gemini Intelligence and enhanced health tracking as the generation’s main upgrades. Pixel Buds Pro 2 gain a new Olive color plus Dynamic ANC and improved Live Translate via a software update.
Google confirmed a Pixel 11a is coming in a few months; until then the Pixel 10a remains on sale with a €200 discount for the 256GB model, retaining the two-generation-old Tensor G4 chip, 8GB RAM and the smaller 48MP 1/2.0” sensor without a dedicated telephoto lens. Google’s new foldable will compete directly with Samsung’s recent Galaxy Z Fold8 family and the Galaxy S26 lineup, which has seen notable price drops since launch — including a €500 cut on the S26 Ultra that puts some base models under €1,000.
