The National Science Centre (NSC) in Guwahati, Assam, has invited applications for two Science Communicator positions for 2026. These are one-year contract posts, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on satisfactory performance and the Centre’s discretion. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 35,000.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry or a biological science. Eligible candidates should have obtained their Master’s degree within the last three years (not earlier than 2023) and must be proficient in the local language as well as in English or Hindi. The Centre is targeting early-career candidates who can communicate scientific ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
Selection will be by walk-in interview scheduled for 25 August 2026; candidates should report by 9:00 AM. The interview will be held at National Science Centre, Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara, Guwahati – 781022. Applicants are required to bring a bio-data completed on the Centre’s prescribed form (downloadable from the NSC Guwahati website), self-attested copies of all testimonials, and original certificates for verification.
Candidates should also bring stationery (pen, pencil, eraser, etc.) for any written test components.
