Guwahati Forensic Team Races to Uncover Blast Cause Today
A forensic team from Guwahati inspected the Kade Global Infrastructure LLP factory in Pangram, Cachar, on Tuesday after an explosion at the metal‑processing unit killed four workers. Authorities said the team spent several hours at the blast site under Udharbond police station limits and collected samples for laboratory analysis to determine the exact cause.
Cachar SSP Sanjeev Kumar Saikia, Additional SP Rajat Kumar Pal and Udharbond police station officer‑in‑charge Chiranjeet Bora accompanied the forensic experts during the inspection. Officials cordoned off the area while investigators photographed the scene and gathered physical evidence and debris for testing.
Preliminary findings suggested that an LPG cylinder explosion may have triggered the blast, but authorities cautioned that the final cause will be confirmed only after detailed forensic reports are returned. Police said they are keeping all possibilities open until laboratory results and further technical examinations are completed.
The explosion occurred on Sunday at the metal‑processing unit and the four workers were declared dead at the site. Local officials have launched an inquiry and are expected to release updates after forensic and investigative teams conclude their analysis.
