Sharing the encounter on social media, Khandu described the Pangchenpas of Tawang as traditionally known for refraining from non‑virtuous actions in line with Buddhist teachings. He credited the community with upholding moral disciplines that shape daily life and communal behaviour.
Khandu said the Pangchenpas exemplify the Monpa way of life through deep‑rooted values of compassion, reverence for nature and respect for all sentient beings. He emphasized how those values are reflected in local customs and community relations.
The chief minister encouraged people to visit Pangchen Ding Groh, saying the village offers a unique opportunity to witness a community built on compassion and peaceful coexistence with other living beings. His remarks invite attention to the cultural and spiritual heritage of Tawang’s Monpa communities.
By spotlighting Pangchen Ding Groh, the meeting drew public attention to the preservation of traditional Monpa values and the village’s potential as a destination for visitors seeking to experience distinctive Buddhist practices and a lifestyle grounded in environmental respect.
