Mr. Trump has said his negotiating priorities include preventing Iran from developing any nuclear weapons and reopening the Strait of Hormuz shipping lane, which the report says Iran has blockaded since the war began. In an interview on Fox News with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, the president emphasized the need for firm assurances, saying, “The one guarantee that I have to have is that there will be no nuclear weapons. They’ve agreed to that, and it was very interesting.”
