Rio: NPF’s Strategic Push for Cross-Border Political Integration
Dimapur: Nagaland Chief Minister Rio said the Naga People’s Front (NPF) is working for the “political integration” of the Naga people across borders, even though the community is not yet physically integrated. Rio, who is also the NPF president, described political integration as a key aim of the party’s current agenda.
Reiterating the NPF’s commitment to the welfare of the Naga people, he said the party occupies a unique place in the community’s life. He said the NPF is rooted in Naga history and serves as a custodian of the community’s identity, culture and tradition.
Rio made the remarks at a consultative meeting of the NPF held at Chiephobozou on Saturday, the NPF press bureau said in a release.
