Rajnath Singh Alleges LDF and UDF Deceived Kerala Voters for Decades
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday accused both the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) of deceiving the people of Kerala for decades, saying voters do not choose between the two alliances but rather vote to remove whichever one is in power. He made the remarks while addressing a public meeting in the Paravoor Assembly constituency in Ernakulam.
Singh said the two fronts, despite different flags and symbols, share the same conduct and thinking and have worked to “divide society and ruin Kerala’s economy.” He accused both alliances of repeatedly deceiving “the hardworking and honest people of Kerala.”
Highlighting what he described as a cyclical pattern in the state’s politics, Singh said, “The people of Kerala do not vote to choose the LDF or UDF; rather, they vote to oust one of these two from power. But unfortunately, the other one automatically comes to power.”
Intensifying his critique, he redefined the acronyms as political labels: LDF, he said, stood for “Loot, Division, and Failure,” while UDF meant “Untrustworthy, Dishonesty, and Fraud.”
Singh’s comments reinforce his criticism of Kerala’s mainstream political alliances and signal continued political targeting of both fronts during his public outreach in the state. (ANI)
